COVID-19

All of us are reading and listening to the news media about Coronavirus.  Please note school officials have NOT been provided with information regarding any CHARLESTON student or any staff member being exposed to the virus.

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 is the best approach to maintaining good health.  Recommendations include avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth, cover coughs and sneezes with your elbow, and frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. 

The Arkansas Department of Education’s Division of Elementary and Secondary Education is working in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Health to monitor and provide guidance to school officials.  Any decision to close Charleston Schools will be directly guided by Arkansas government officials and health professionals.
