Info from the School Nurses!
FLU Clinic:  Our FLU Clinic will be held October 14, 2024.  Permission forms are being sent home with students. Virtual Students will receive their form in the mail.  Permission forms must be returned by October 12th.  ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE. Immunization Clinic:  There are no plans for a immunization clinic at this time. Immunizations: All students Kindergarten through 12th will need the following: 4 doses of DTaP with the 4th being after their 4th birthday                                   3 doses of Polio (opv) with the 3rd being after their 4th birthday 2 doses of Varicella (chicken pox)          2 doses MMR 3 doses of Hep B Additionally: Kindergarten -- 1 dose of Hep A 1st Grade -- 2 doses of Hep A 11 year olds -- 1 dose of Tdap 7th Grade -- 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine 16 year olds -- 2 doses of Meningococcal (if first dose on or after age 16, only 1 dose required) Kindergarten: It is a state requirement that every kindergarten student receive a physical from their physician within a year of entering kindergarten.  If you received a letter-please be sure to call and make an appointment for that. Temperature: The nurses want to remind parents that if a child has a temperature, they must be fever free for at least 24 hours before returning to school.  Health: Body Mass Index Reports are available upon request. Lice: It’s time for those creepy crawly visitors, be sure to check your child’s head frequently!!!! Water: Athletes, including spirit and band, watch heat, and drink drink and drink some more!!!
